Lerina is a seasoned music educator and entrepreneur with a lifelong commitment to captivating audiences. Holding a Licentiate from SDCSA, a BA Degree from UP, and various certifications, including Level 6 Teachers Licentiate (Rockschool) and a Voice Movement Therapy Practitioner qualification (IAVMT), Lerina brings a comprehensive educational background to her roles. Her teaching journey spans London-based schools, CHIMS, and leadership in the Music Department of Pretoria-East Primary. In 2005, she founded Vibrience Music Notes, offering individual instruction in Vocals and Guitar. In 2016, Lerina expanded her impact, launching Ovie-Vibz, a thriving music school currently employing 16 teachers. Lerina’s blend of educational excellence and entrepreneurial spirit defines her as a distinguished figure in music instruction.
Mareli Benade
Piano| Flute | Theory | Cello
Mareli has taken music lessons from a young age and joined a youth orchestra at 16, which made her realise that she would like to make music her career. Having studied flute under Prof. John Hinch (UP), she started giving flute lessons from her second year. Mareli also plays intermittently in various orchestras, namely the Johannesburg Symphony, Gauteng Philharmonic, Pretoria Youth Philharmonic, and East Rand Youth Orchestras; ad hoc for different orchestral projects. She also joins her husband as a guitar and flute duo, Twenty Fingers, for special events. Mareli teaches piano, flute, and music theory lessons and maintains that music has an excellent effect on a child growing brain.
Martie Viljoen

For Martie, music and education are not merely work, but her true passions. Having started music at the age of 9, she already decided to make it her study path. After completing her B.Mus (Ed) at Stellenbosch, Martie started teaching predominantly as private music teacher, and has also held several locum and temporary school teaching posts. She acquired Unisa Grade 8 Theory of Music and Grade 8 Pianoforte; is thus an accredit Unisa candidate teacher and has several candidates on the Roll of Merit.
Martie has continuously been church organist and accompanied many instrumental candidates and vocalists in examinations and performances, as well as children and adult choirs. Martie has been involved in the planning of Noorderkruin Arts Festival (Music) for 20 years.

Reti Swart

Reti obtained her BA Ed Mus and a Diploma in Music Individual Education,
Piano (Classical and Contemporary), Keyboard, Guitar and Recorder Writing of an early music development program based on Kobus Neethling’s Whole Brain Model. Currently offering music development classes at Babbelbekkies nursery campus and Magalieskruin Primary School.
Conductor of St Mary’s DSG’s Intersen phase choir, and organist at various churches, Reti is a dedicated music teacher and educator with lots of experience in this field. Among other things, she worked for 4 years at Afrikaans Hoër Meisieskool, where she taught music as a subject for grades 8 to 12, as well as the practical instruments, piano and church organ. She is accredited at Unisa and other examination institutions and has received several awards at Unisa for outstanding teaching in music theory.
Her goals are to cultivate a love of music in learners and to develop their potential optimally.
Franzelle Dorfling
Vocals
Having studied Acting at Method Actor’s Training Centre (UP), classically trained Franzelle was named winner in all categories at the Centurion and Pretoria Eisteddfods. In 2006, she was hailed Centurion’s Most Promising Adult Singer. In 2008, she received 4 silver medals and a further 3 gold medals the following year at South African Talent Championships (SATCH). Franzelle devoted 6 years of vocal coaching experience to Cornwall Hill College, Rustenburg and Lichtenburg, where she wrote, directed, choreographed and coached Lichtenburg High School’s own High School Musical. During 2010, Franzelle started working at Vibrience Music Notes as vocal and performance coach. Awarded her Vocal Gr. 8 (Rockschool) with Merit, she started performing professionally and opened for some of SA top singers.
In 2018, Franzelle received 2 gold medals at Talent Africa Nationals and was invited to represent SA in New York. Since then she also received her B-ed degree at Aros and started teaching music at Laerskool Danie Malan.

San-Mari Booyse

San-Mari grew up with music and completed her Unisa piano examinations during her school years. In 2005, she obtained her BA.Mus (NWU) with vocals as the main instrument. After completing the Kindermusik educators training (Kindermusik University), she spent over a decade teaching the program, focusing on early childhood development through music education.
During that time, she also joined the Vibrience Music Notes teacher corps and in 2017, was part of the formation of the new Ovie-Vibz music centre at Overkruin High School, where she is currently teaching. She has recently added Choir conducting to her resumé and completed The Australian Kodaly certificate for primary education level 1, from the Cuskelly college of Music; with a High distinction in Music pedagogy.
At Ovie-Vibz, San-Mari’s attention is focused mainly on the younger students – building their music foundation and fostering love of music through group and individual lessons. She was co-founder of the Vibri-Level Program, which introduces children aged 6 to 9 to different instruments, and also facilitates the Vibri-Play Program for children between the ages of 4 and 6. San-Mari also teaches piano, vocals and the recorder. Her favourite music quote is: Music is not just what I do – it is who I am!
Clarize Badenhorst

Clarize has always had a passion for music, starting at age 12 and quickly moving onto performing and writing songs. She has been happily teaching at Ovie-Vibz for the last 8 years. Over the years she has obtained her Vocals Grade 8 (Rockschool),
Acoustic Guitar Grade 5 (Rockschool) and Music theory Grade 6 (Rockschool). Along with these certifications she has the knowledge and experience that comes with being a professional musician in the industry.
Clarize has been part of the Ovie Vibz band for the past 6 years and has been band director for 3 of those years.
As performer and songwriter, Clarize has participated in numerous competitions, often walking away with various awards including category winner.
Ruben Radyn
Drums
Ruben is an incredibly talented drummer with over 12 years of drumming experience. Ruben’s passion and dedication have led him to work with renowned artists such as Riaan Beandè, where he serves as a Road Manager. Ruben also serves as the drummer for Ilàn van Staden and Zoè Jacobs. He has a BA degree in sound production, further showcasing his commitment to music.
He is dedicated to inspiring others and helping them unlock their full potential.
When Ruben is not rocking the stage or immersing himself in the music world, he enjoys traveling, seeking out new adventures, and spending quality time with his loved ones.

Lieandri Ackerman

Lieandri developed a passion for entertaining at the age of 8, and loves to perform and entertain casual audiences whenever the opportunity arises. Having since completed her Vocals Gr. 8 (Rockschool) with Merit and currently working toward her B.Ed Intermediate degree (Aros), and has joined the Ovie-Vibz team teaching vocals. Some of Lieandri’s many highlights include joining Nedine Blom as backing vocalist and appearing in her Supercool vir Jesus music video; as well as being awarded both School Junior and Senior Idol, multiple certificates in arts festivals, and National qualification in Talent Africa. She furthermore received School Colours and Honours for Lead Female in the Centurion School Choir; and achieved 3 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze SATCH medals. In 2016, she was awarded Vibrience Best Senior Vocalist, and has also released 3 YouTube singles.
Enrique Breeze
Piano | Keyboard
Enrique plays piano since he was 7. He first started playing piano on ear and on the age of 11 started with music theory. In 2015 he did his Grade 1 and 2 music theory at Unisa and Grade 3 music theory and practical passed with distinction in 2017. He then started taking guitar lessons and in 2023 started with violin lessons.
Enrique has already played the piano at a wedding and played piano as entertainment at the Zutari Awards Night.
He studied Sound Engineering and Media Music Composition at Emendy Multimedia Institute. The course also included Music Ear Training and Modern Music Theory.
He started giving piano lessons in 2021 and in 2023 joined High School Overkruin’s Ovie-Vibz as a piano teacher.
In Enrique’s free time he composes orchestral music and many other genres. He also practices his instruments and improvises to try new things.
Antru le Roux

Growing up in a very musical family, Antru received classical piano training from a very young age and studied under the likes of Prof. Ella Fourie, Hannelie van Sitterdt and Louis van Loggerenberg.
Her passion for singing soon saw her joining the Jacaranda Children’s Choir, winning numerous national and international awards. This afforded her the privilege to share the stage with various artists such as Christa Steyn, Mimi Coertse and Eleganza. This year she joined a female ensemble-choir under the direction of Riekie van Aswegen, performing with the award-winning male ensemble group, Singfonix.
Her years of experience have equipped her with the knowledge that each student’s need must be met individually. This will ensure that their full musical potential is nurtured.

Vincent Rynders

Vincent Rynders is not your everyday cliche musician. His approach towards music is somewhat of an ‘Out of the Box’ approach. He focuses on what a song needs musically instead of flushing the song by over complicating it. His focus is on composition and can create stellar, memorable hooks by keeping things leashed.
Vincent has been in the local music scene for about 10 years now and has had the opportunity to play big festivals and shows. He is currently a guitarist for Levina, Erasmus and the The South African Blues Society but can also teach other string instruments.
Abigail Vermeulen
Violin | Viola
Abigail started playing violin at three years of age and started to play piano at a later stage as well. She especially enjoys being part of an orchestra and performed with the PHSG (Pretoria High School for Girls) orchestra for three years. She has completed violin grade 8 through ABRSM and is working on her grade 6 music theory (ABRSM). She started teaching students in 2021.
Abigail has always had a passion for teaching from a young age and she enjoys looking for new ways to help students enjoy learning how to play the violin. She especially loves the Kodály method and has done the Colourstrings Introductory Kindergarten course as well at the Colourstrings Phase 1 course.
Her goal is to help others learn how to be musically literate and to enjoy making music from as young as possible. Everybody deserves to understand and enjoy music!

Sakkie Kloppers
Vocals | Guitar | Ukelele
Sakkie Kloppers started singing before he could walk and rounded kids up for small performances since he received his first toy guitar. This was followed up by piano lessons in primary school and learning to play the guitar. During his school years, he sang in a regional youth choir, followed by an opportunity to sing in Tuks Camarata. He did two years of guitar lessons with Vibrience Music Notes in 2006. In 2008, he did a course in song writing, music production, and recording with Johan Kelber and had a recording studio for 5 years. Through the years, he performed in churches, conferences, and events. He did the foundational coursework in Voice Movement Therapy in 2024 and is working on finalizing all requirements for the full qualification.
